Judith Leibowitz Scholarship Fund (JLSF) Committee
Born and raised in San Francisco, a graduate of UCLA and the University of Vienna, Spencer lived and worked in New York City for 20 years, and now resides in the Twin Cities.
Known mainly for his work in theater, music, film and as a producer in the field of non-profit arts, Spencer was the first American to join the international cast of Slava’s Snowshow, beginning in 2004. He has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, on television and in film.
He completed 1600 hours (three years) of training to become a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, with lessons now being given in Edina, MN. He continues to teach Tai chi as well, sharing the insights and skills gained in over 15 years of continuous study with teachers largely from the Yang family tradition.
