Elyse Shafarman holds a Master’s Degree in Physiological Psychology from San Francisco State University and Alexander Technique Teacher Certification from Frank Ottiwell (2003). Elyse is faculty at San Francisco State University's Holistic Health Studies Department and Studio ACT where she teaches Alexander Technique, Somatics, and Relaxation & Stress Reduction. She teaches private Alexander Technique lessons in San Francisco and Berkeley. Her background as a modern dancer and certifications in psychology, yoga, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction influence her work.
