About

Joan was certified to teach the Alexander Technique from The American Center for the Alexander Technique, New York City, in March 1983. She joined the faculty a year later and became a member of the senior faculty in 1987. From 2001-2008 she was Director of Teacher Certification. Joan has been on the faculty of The Juilliard School, Dance and Drama Divisions, and has taught at Sarah Lawrence College in the drama department. She taught at Greenwich Hospital's Center for Integrative Medicine and for many years was a lecturer for The Arthritis Foundation. Joan has maintained a private practice in the New York Greater Metropolitan Area since 1983, teaching presently in Stratford, CT, Tappan, NY, Manhattan, and Jersey City.
