About

Meet Émilie, an Alexander Technique teacher based in North Austin. Her journey with the Alexander Technique began in 2019, where she discovered profound comfort and personal growth. After navigating through several car accidents dating back to 1997, and a significant fall in 2018, Emilie sought various methods to heal from their impact. It was through the Alexander Technique that she finally found enduring relief and ongoing progress. Motivated to deepen her understanding, she pursued formal training, seeing it as the next natural progression.

Indeed, Emilie graduated from the Alexander Training Center - Austin, class of 2023, under the guidance of Training Director Molly Johnson, M.AmSat, PhD., with Instructors Donna Martin, M.AmSat, B.F.A., and Jameson James, M.AmSAT, DTCM, L.Ac.

Holding a baccalaureate in management from Les Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal and with nearly 20 years of experience in customer service, event planning and public relations, she brings a depth of academic and professional experience to her practice. Additionally, she is currently training to become a trauma-informed coach at SheRecovers.org, further expanding her expertise in supporting others. Emilie is now integrating her Alexander technique with life coaching (ICF-ACC), energy healing through Usui Reiki and LaHoChi, and a passion for neuroscience to aid in rewiring the brain. She also organizes wellness retreats, providing immersive experiences for individuals to rejuvenate and find balance.

In addition to her professional endeavors, she serves as a sobriety ambassador, offering guidance and encouragement to those on a wellness journey. She is actively building online and in-person communities to nurture connections and offer support in both Austin and Montreal. She operates from home and is on the road as a mobile practitioner in the greater Austin area.

Overall, over the past 5 years, the principles and the wisdom of Alexander Technique has really enriched her various practices. She continuously refines her expertise through ongoing training programs. She feels enthusiastic and will certainly carry on, fulfilling her promise of passing on her knowledge through teaching.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her spouse, two sons, and pets. She finds zenitude in taking nature walks, playing guitar, going on motorcycle rides, biking, traveling and collecting rocks in the shape of a heart to share.

Emilie is fluent in French and Cantonese, and can manage some Mandarin speaking.
