Nicole A. Martinell, MFA, CMA, RSME offers over 20 years of experience working with the movement mechanics and organization of the human body. She is a graduate of AT MidAtlantic teacher training program and is certified to teach by the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). Martinell is also a Certified Movement Analyst through the Laban Institute of Movement Studies. Martinell has a BS in Kinesiology from Penn State University and an MFA in Dance from Texas Woman’s University. She is on faculty in the Department of Dance at Towson University, MD where she teaches Alexander Technique, Dance Science & Somatics, Composition, and Modern Technique.

Her dance, science and somatics research has been presented nationally and internationally, and she has facilitated numerous workshops for such organizations as the Maryland State Department of Education and Baltimore County Public Schools.  A professional dancer and choreographer, Martinell is also the Founder/Artistic Director of Deep Vision Dance Company, a performing arts organization in Baltimore, MD.

Martinell creates an environment of curiosity and trust and encourages her students to question, discover, laugh, and grow. Joy opens the door for self-transformation.
