About

I began studying the Alexander Technique in 2003 during my senior year of college. Within just a few lessons, I had found lasting relief from chronic headaches and persistent back pain that had been a constant source of frustration since childhood. Over the next many years, I embarked on several periods of intense study until finally beginning training as a teacher at the Alexander Technique Moving Arts Center in Austin, TX under the direction of Sumi Komo. As a musician, the Alexander Technique has helped me find an ease and confidence on stage that I could have never imagined possible.

While I have a particular interest in working with fellow musicians, my teaching practice includes people from all walks of life: actors, dancers, singers, instrumentalists, meditators, athletes, Parkinson’s & M.S. patients, and many more. Whatever activity you are involved in, the Alexander Technique can help you learn how to move through life with greater freedom, coordination, consciousness, and self awareness.

I currently offer lessons in Austin and San Antonio, TX. If you are located outside of these locations I am happy to work with you virtually.
