Malaysian Soprano Yen Lin Chin began her career as a Chinese Folk Song singer and was discovered when she was nine. She was subsequently introduced to western classical music and started her classical vocal training and piano training when she was ten. With the support of her family and voice teachers, she has triumphed in an astounding number of vocal competitions and has been recognized with over 35 first-prize awards from around the globe. She was invited to perform in Tokyo, Japan when she was seventeen and has since performed in Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, Hong Kong, and China in both solo and choral singing.
With this international accomplishment, Yen Lin transferred to the United States and accepted a full scholarship at Louisiana State University, where she completed 4.0 GPA in Master of Music in 2015.
Yen Lin Chin is an AMSAT-Certified Alexander Technique teacher. She has a passion for integrating the principles of Alexander Technique into her voice and piano teaching, providing a unique approach that enhances both performance and overall well-being.
With diligence and achievement, Yen Lin Chin has travelled a positive path towards her professional career in music, having studied and worked around the globe since year 2000. She continues to enjoy regular operatic performances as she shares her formally developed talent through teaching.
