"Structuring Alexander Technique lessons to injured musicians during PRMD rehabilitation: education, therapy and psycho-physical re-education" Part 2.
In this presentation I aim to expose some of the difficulties and complexities that occur in cases of PRMDs (performance related musculoskeletal disorders) in performing musicians. At the same time, strategies will be suggested that may help to support injured musicians before, during and after their journey of recovery. Going through the journey of recovery together with a student can be enormously constructive and beneficial to both student and teacher when done through the lens of the fundamental principles of the Alexander Technique. Hopefully, an important part of this presentation will be based on questions of participants so that we can cover idiosyncratic complications of specific cases (cases of participants' own personal journeys or of their students' journeys).
This presentation is the second in a 3 part series of presentations. Part 1 was held in April.
